The Road to the Encounter


Alexis had made a bigger name for herself after defeating her brother, Drake.
Lionel convinced Lloyd to wrestle Alexis in the next California town. Alexis
dazzled Lloyd with side-suplexes, and drop kicks, and clotheslines. Lloyd had
underestimated her.

She got him with a reverse neck breaker. Alexis won at the five minute mark.
Lionel thought he'd figured out a way to beat Alexis and challenged her to a
match. She accepted. One minute into the match, Alexis caught Lionel with an
inside cradle to win the match.

"316 matches, with me having 6 and Lauren having 310."

To add even more hype, leading up to the Haywoods verses the Alcons, the
promoters decided to have a lethal lottery match. All four of our names would
be put in a hat and our matches will be chosen by random. The papers were
shuffled and ruffled.

First name picked was... Drake Alcon. Next name chosen was... Me, Buzz
Haywood, which means Lauren will wrestle Alexis. First up was my match with
Drake. The match began with a hand shake and then we locked up. We exchanged
head locks and then I threw a punch at his body. We circled the ring and Drake
connected with a leg kick onto me. Drake got me with a shoulder block. Drake
bounced off the ropes and went for a splash, but I rolled out of the way.

I put on a half nelson. Drake struggled and got out of it. I chopped him, he
chopped me back, then I chopped him again, and he chopped me again. I went to
send him to the post, but Drake put on the brakes and fired me in instead.
Drake went for a splash, but he caught a boot from me. I then dropped an elbow
on him. I went for a pin. "One!" "Two!" Kick out! I lifted him up for a
suplex, but he reversed it and suplexed me instead. Drake dropped a knee on me
and then covered me.

"One!" "Two!" I kicked out. Now Drake has body slammed me. Now he goes on the
offensive. I knew the Haywood name was at stake here. Family pride is on the
line in this bout. The encounter went back and forth. We passed the ten minute
mark. The match could still go either way. High-cross body after high-cross
body. Suddenly at 15 minutes Drake went to suplex me again, but I managed to
small package him for the 1-2-3! Drake and I shook hands.

Up next was the match between Lauren and Alexis. The two girls had an exciting
match. I thought I was watching Susan Sexton and Wendy Richter back in the
day. They were that amazing. But at the 16-minute mark, Alexis hit Lauren with
a muscle-buster. She got the 1-2-3! Afterwards, the girls shook hands. On the
next show, the lethal lottery happened again. First name picked was me, Buzz
Haywood. Who would be my opponent? It was Drake again. So the girls would
wrestle again. This time, Drake won at 17:34 and Lauren won with a
Styles-clash at 17:56. Next in the lottery at the next event was... Drake
Alcon and his opponent picked was, Alexis. Which meant Lauren and I would
wrestle again.

Alexis took on Drake first, and she impressed everyone by body slaming him and
even suplexed him. Every move Drake made, Alexis countered it. Alexis gave
Drake a piledriver and got the win. Next was me and Lauren. Previously we've
had, 316 matches, with me having 6 and Lauren having 310. Lauren and I shook
hands. The match began. Shoulder tackle, body slam, suplex, and then, a Styles
clash. 1-2-3! Lauren won making it, 317 matches, with me having 6 wins, and
Lauren having 311. We hugged afterwards. Next they decided to sanction a match
with me and Drake against Lauren and Alexis. This would be interesting.

Alexis was just as tough as Lauren. Alexis proved it by giving me a back
breaker. Lauren got the better of Drake throughout the match. The match ended
with both girls clotheslined me and then Lauren climbed the top rope and gave
me a shooting star press. 318 matches, Lauren 318, me 6. Next was decided that
next time it would be me versed Alexis and Lauren verses Drake. My match with
Alexis was over five minutes. Alexis dominated the match. I don't know if it
was because of her hottness, but I lost focus and the match. Alexis planted a
DDT and pinned me.

Then we had Lauren wrestling Drake. It was a good match. Drake kinda did a
little bit better than I did. But Lauren was able to hit a Styles clash to
finish the match in a little over seven minutes.
