Manners II By anonymous My new step sister has a short temper - and a black belt in Tae Kwon Do! It had been some months since my step-sister Trisha beat the shit out of me and looking back, I pretty much deserved it. I was arrogant and rude to her and her mother constantly and Trisha simply had enough one day. I had no idea that Trisha had studied Tae Kwon Do ever since she was a little girl and still practices almost every day ... it wasn't even 30 seconds and she had managed to break my lip, my nose and left me bloody and unconscious, with her friend watching and cheering her on no less! I couldn't land one blow while she on the other hand was landing these huge precision kicks and punches to my face and head until I wasn't moving anymore. I was totally and completely humiliated by the fact that a girl, half my size, brutally kicked my ass and turned me into a blubbering idiot. Strangely enough, Trisha was suddenly very kind and gentle and helped me to ease the pain she put me in. She even cleaned me up and made friends with me afterward. It was without a doubt, the most severe ass-kicking I've ever had, but it taught me a lesson to be more respectful of people, women in general, and especially her! My father and new stepmother noticed the change in my attitude and that Trisha was showing me how to meditate to deal with my anger and frustration issues. My step-mother, Tina would say, "It looks like Trisha is really helping you along Rob, I must say, I like this version of you much better." Neither Trisha nor myself told the parents what had happened while they were on vacation, and Trisha straightened her friend Tammy out, the girl who witnessed my beating. She loved taunting me and teasing me about Trisha beating me up whenever she came over afterward, but she kept her mouth shut about it in public. Trisha had made many friends, but she wanted to meet as many people as she could, so I started taking her to some of the more happening parties around town. We started running into the same group of people at different parties, and we hung out with them most of the time. Trisha was not only beautiful and super tough, she was also very bright and had a quick wit. At this one party in my buddy's back yard, we'd had a couple of drinks and we were playing around with some funny quips and sayings. It got to the point where we started with in with puns and jokes and this one guy Bryon, seemed to like to be the center of attention. He would throw out a line and Trisha would pick up on it and make some funny quip or turn around his statement to make him look foolish. Apparently, this guy was pretty slow witted and Trisha got in three good digs in quick succession and everybody was laughing. We noticed that Bryon seemed kind of put off and wasn't laughing, so Trisha made sure to let everybody know it was only kidding around and meant nothing. Trisha had started talking with some of the girls in the kitchen and I was out back smoking a cigar with some of the guys we were talking to earlier when this guy Bryon started in. "Hey, your girlfriend is kind of a bitch, isn't she?," he droned. I replied, "Well, number one, she's my step-sister not my girlfriend, and two ... you can call her 'bitch' all you want to, I just wouldn't call her that to her face!" Bryon looked up and drawled, "Whaaaatever," and sulked away. Another guy looked at me and said, "Hey Rob is it?" "Yeah," I smiled and shook his hand. "I'm Pete ... I just wanted to let you know that Bryon is kind of a jerk ... he actually got drunk and smacked somebody a while back, I'd tell your step- sister to watch out for that guy, not that he'd do anything, but you never know." I shot back, "He's the one that needs to watch his step!" "Yeah, well Bryon's a big strong dude man, I've seen him throw down, and he could fuck you up in a fist fight I'm afraid," my new friend said. "I'm not talking about me doing anything, I'm talking about my sister," I said in a laughing tone. They all looked at me quizzically. "Trisha may look like just another cute girl, but she's an expert in Tae Kwon Do ... believe me, she'd kick the shit out this guy and three more just like him!," I explained. They appeared doubtful. "Don't look so shocked, I've learned that a well trained female martial artist is more than a match for almost any guy, even multiple guys! It doesn't matter about gender and size at that point." "No shit!," was all anybody said accompanied by low whistles and murmurs. I didn't tell them that Trisha had demonstrated this fact to me first hand and gave me a world class ass whooping to prove the point to me beyond a shadow of a doubt. The rest of the party passed on into the night without incident and everybody had a pretty good time. We said goodbye to our hosts and they invited us back the next week for another get together. We were walking home when Trisha made a few observations. "That one guy getting all whiney tonight was kind of weird, I like your friends but I hope he's not around at the next gathering," she said flatly. "I like that guy Pete though, he's got a nice body and he's pretty cute!," she chirped. "I've never seen that first guy, Bryon before tonight, apparently you don't want to turn your back on him," I said. I told her what Pete had told me. "I hope he behaves himself," she sneered as she rocked back on one leg snapping the other one almost straight up in the air and holding it there in perfect balance, then pulled her foot back at the knee and snapped off a dozen hard kicks in an instant still in the same position. It was an impressive display of balance and power, and I told her so. "Man, Trish ... if I would have seen you do that shit I would've never fucked with you that day, that's pretty amazing!" "I'd teach him a lesson alright!," she said with an evil grin. "I really like beating up on big, stupid, rude guys that think they're tough!" "Like me?," I said halfway joking. "Rob, you turned out to be a really sweet guy underneath all that anger you had, and for what it's worth, you're the only guy I've ever regretted hurting," she lamented. "I felt bad as soon as it was over, that's why I kicked Tammy out and helped you recover." "That actually meant a lot to me, thanks for that by the way," I said. She leaned into me and hugged me underneath my jacket, "All that matters now is that you're a great brother and you're really starting to turn into a really sweet guy, I'm glad we got past that." We talked and laughed the rest of the short distance home. Another couple weeks flew by and found Trisha and myself at my buddies house again celebrating his wife's birthday. Pete had taken a real shine to Trisha, and from all outward appearances, she to him. It seemed every time I turned around, Pete and Trisha were talking low and giggling in a dark corner somewhere. I was out in the back again talking to anybody that wanted to shoot the breeze and everybody was having a generally good time. Of course, this idiot Bryon shows up and starts being loud and boisterous as usual but he wasn't really bothering anybody at first. The party started to die down and there were still about 6 or 7 people around finishing up our drinks getting ready to leave. Trisha has sidled up to Pete and said she was cold as she reached under his jacket and hugged him, he smiled and pulled his jacket around her shoulders. "Better?," asked Pete with a smile. "Mmmm, much better," purred Trisha and snuggled up even tighter to him. I think she even whispered in his ear that he smelled nice! Trisha and Pete held onto each other in the chilly night air and I was talking to Pete's friend (Dan, I think) when Bryon decided to come over and bother us. We had successfully avoided this idiot all night long, but now it seemed that everybody he knew had left and we were the only group still around that he could annoy. "Well, looks like Stick-boy got himself a little girlie!," he laughed to himself. "Yeah, and you're just on your way home, am I right?," Pete answered. "No, I wanted to see Stick-boy and his new girlfriend heat things up!," he roared with laughter (again, nobody else thought it was funny). Trisha piped up at that moment, "You should probably just go before somebody teaches you how to behave in public," she said in an ice cold tone. "Yeah, and who would that be ... eh honey, who is gonna 'teach me a lesson', Stick-boy here?," he laughed his stupid laugh again. "You know, you should just turn around and walk away while you still have some dignity," Trisha seethed, her eyes were little slits. "I can't leave now, not when I'm waiting here for 'my lesson'," he said in a mocking tone. Trisha let go of Pete and walked up right up in Bryon's face and said, "Then it's a lesson you'll get!" Bryon reached over to squeeze her cheek and started say, "How cuuuute ... .," but it got cut short when Trisha grabbed his wrist, twisted and pulled him so that he nearly flipped completely over landing on his back with a huge 'thud'! I heard everybody murmuring things like, "Whoa!" and "Holy Shit! Did you see that!" I saw Bryon start to get up with murder in his eyes and I bent over and said quickly, "Hey man, just get up and walk away or this will end badly for you!" He just ignored me and pushed me to the side as he got up and went after Trisha. She had merely taken a step back and removed her shoes and stood her ground as Bryon charged her trying to get hands around her throat. Trisha moved like a cat and easily side stepped his lumbering attack, as he passed by her, she slammed her foot into the back of his head with a loud, "Aiyaaa!" Bryon went crashing headlong into the backyard fence. I looked over at Pete and Dan, they were just standing there slack jawed with their eyes wide open. The oaf shook his head trying to clear the cobwebs and started to take his feet slowly. My buddies wife came outside and stood behind us just in time to watch Bryon take another swing at Trisha. She easily ducked and spun away, swatting Bryon's half hearted swings and grab attempts out of the way. She allowed him to extend himself and ran inside his guard and started slamming her little fists into his bloated stomach and his face over and over again. It was almost comical how one sided this fight was, Trisha made him look a harmless fool and totally outclassed him at every exchange, easily landing those devastating punches of hers and quickly overwhelming Bryon. I heard by buddies wife say something like, "Holy shit!" Bryon was rocked with her onslaught and staggered backward not really knowing which end was up and as he did so, Trisha opened up with those deadly kicks of hers landing them at will on either side of this poor slob's head. He was screaming in pain every time she caught him with one and he staggered backward trying to cover his head up. Trisha saw an opening and shot her foot out with a loud, "Ayiaa!" It caught him flush on his mouth and sent him flying backwards, landing on the flat of his back. He was now just moaning and coughing up blood as Trisha walked up to him. He feebly raised his hands up in front of his face and groaned, "no more ... please, no more!" The blood was now just flowing out of Bryon's nose and mouth and his face was twisted in agony and starting to puff up, instantly reminding me of myself in the mirror after Trisha had given me a similar beating. She grabbed Bryon by the hair and jerked his head up to face her. "Lesson's over dirt bag, I hope you learned something!", she let go of Bryon's hair and wiped her hands off on the few parts of his clothing that weren't soaked in blood. He flopped back down to the ground and didn't move, but he was still groaning and coughing up blood. Trisha turned around to see everybody standing there looking like the ending shot from 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind', just staring at her, mouths hanging wide open. She grabbed me by the arm and said, "C'mon Rob, we're going." She was mortified that she had made a spectacle of herself. We walked up to our hosts and Trisha said, "I'm sorry about everything, I hope you can forgive me for ruining your party," she said in an embarrassed tone. I had to run to keep up with her going out of the gate, I could tell she was really uncomfortable with the whole situation. The last thing I saw was Pete and Dan going over to see if Bryon was still alive. On the way home, Trisha was beside herself for letting her temper spin out of control yet again. She was crying and upset about how she had messed things up between herself and my friends, especially Pete. I did my best to console her, but she was really pissed she didn't ignore that idiot ... she explained all she wanted to do was to stand there holding onto Pete until the party was over. I didn't see Trisha for a couple days after that, she didn't even go to her Tae Kwon Do class which was very unusual for her. She moped around in her room and only came out for food. Pete called up several times, but she wouldn't take any calls, or even talk to anybody for that matter. I finally just told him to come over on the auspice of hanging out with me, then maybe once he was there, we could get Trisha out of her room. It worked like a charm, Trisha came out of her room and sat down with Pete and myself in the kitchen. "I'm sure everybody thinks I acted like a real idiot the other night ... ," she trailed off looked down at the linoleum floor. Pete just laughed and said, "Actually everybody was talking about how amazing it was watching you beat the shit out of Bryon and how he was a bloody mess afterwards and you didn't have a scratch on you!!!" Trisha peeked upward and said in a hush, "Really, they don't think I'm some psycho?!?" Pete continued, "Of course not, as a matter of fact Brent's wife (the birthday girl) started joking that somebody should have taught that asshole a lesson a long time ago, but there weren't any guys around that could do the job!" She grinned and laughed at that and said, "So you don't think any less of me, Pete?" "Of course not," he said dismissively, "Especially now that I know what you can do to me if I piss you off!!!," we all laughed. -fin-
