The Governor gets a visit


By the next morning Sarah's dominance over the prison was complete. Everyone

The Governor readily agreed with the woman and also agreed to announce that
she would succeed her husband as Warden of the prison upon his death next
week. Sarah was kind enough to invite the warden to her husband's execution
which she herself would perform. He said he would be happy to attend but asked
what charges Sarah would use for justifying her husband's death. Sarah smiled
and remarked "I don't have to have a reason but if you want one - it will be
simply being in my way."
