Rematch for the title By G responses GLfm@aol.com David and Patty Ann go at it again. It's been a little over eleven months since I lost the world boxing title. After my wife Patty Ann knocked me out and took the title from me I took six months off and did almost nothing. To say that I was totally depressed would be an understatement. Although Patty Ann never gloated over her victory it was a very tough thing for me to take. I guess what got me started again was the huge fight Patty Ann and I had She told me that she was embarrassed by the way I was acting and by me running away for boxing. She told me that if I wanted her to stay with me that I had to snap out of it and get my butt back in the gym and in the ring. The last thing in the world I wanted to do was lose my wife, she is the love of my life. So taking her advice I went back to the gym and got back in the ring. My last three fights have all ended in knockouts and none have lasted past the 3rd round. In my last fight I beat the number three contender Helen Reilly knocking her out in just three rounds. That brings us up to about six weeks ago. Patty Ann and I were just finishing our breakfast when the phone rang. After a brief but very animated conversation Patty Ann returned to the table with a strange look on her face. " What's wrong honey, who was that"? My wife tells me it was our promoter and that he's made an offer. " It was Jack, they want us to fight again. He says it's a mandatory title defense They're making you the #1 contender". We finish eating in silence not knowing what to say. It takes us several days to work it out but we both come to the understanding that we are professional athletes and world ranked boxers and that we have no choice. We both want to be champion and the only way to do that is to fight. "Patty Ann you know I love you, but I also love boxing. I want to be champion Again." Patty Ann smiles at me. " I love you to David, but I love being champion. I'm going to do every thing I can to beat you And keep the title". I nod understanding how my wife feels "I know, and I'm going to do everything I can to take the title from you". It takes us several days to get over the surprise and back to normal. We both agree that no matter how the fight turns out we love each other and that's what matters. The last six weeks have been the most grueling of my life. I have worked almost eight hours every day to prepare for this fight. I've run, exercised, and sparred harder that I ever have before. My trainers and I have left nothing to chance. We believe we have trained for every contingency. In my hart and mind I know there is no way Patty Ann can beat me I am positive I will win back my title. Fight night is always very exciting especially for the fighters involved. A championship always brings out the biggest crowds. Tonight the arena is packed. Everybody wants to see us fight for the title. I am strangely nervous as I prepare for the fight. I pull up my spandex jockstrap and insert the hard plastic cup over my manhood. I stretch on shinny tan tights they almost resemble pantyhose. Over my tights I pull on very tight gold metallic shorts. They are cut very high and are extremely reveling. I lace on yellow gold boots. After rapping my hands my trainer ties on matching yellow gold boxing gloves. A gold metallic ring robe finishes my look. Over in Patty Ann's dressing room the champion is very relaxed. Her trainer has to nudge her awake to begin dressing for the fight. Patty Ann pulls up her lightly padded black thong. She stretches sheer black pantyhose over her legs. She wiggles into a very sheer see thru black leotard. She laces up her black boots and wraps the world title belt around her waist. Slipping into a calf length black kimono she is ready to head to the ring. As the challenger I head to the ring first. As I enter the arena a cheer goes up from most of the men in the crowd. As usual at these fights the crowd is about evenly divided between men and women. Although I have many women fans it's the men in the crowd that encourage me the most. I hear their shouted words. " Go get her champ. You'll get her this time. Knock her out man you can beat her." I accept their encouragement and get many high-fives and pats on the back. Reaching the ring I climb the steps and duck thru the ropes. As I stand in my corner I hear a defining cheer go up from most of the women in the crowd. Patty Ann has entered the arena and is heading for the ring. She too receives much encouragement as she walks down the isle. " Knock him out Champ. You can take him. He doesn't have a chance". Patty Ann reaches the ring and climbs the steps. Looking at her I can't help but see how beautiful she is. She has the face of an angle and the body of a model. For just a second I am saddened by what I have to do to her. The timekeeper rings the bell as the announcer moves to center ring. "Ladies and Gentlemen this is the main Event of the evening 10 rounds of boxing for the World inter-gender championship In this corner weighting 162lbs He is the former world champion David Steel. And in the opposite corner Weighting in at 138lbs She is the current, undisputed World inter-gender boxing champion Patty Ann Steel." A huge cheer goes as Patty Ann's name is called. From inside the ring I can see that there are almost three times as many women as men in the crowd. The ref calls both of us to the middle of the ring. " Patty Ann, David you both know the rules I went over them in each of your dressing rooms Do either of you have any questions? If not Return to your corners and come out fighting at the bell Good luck to you both and may the best fighter win." Just before her trainer puts in her mouthpiece Patty Ann whispers " I love you". I nod and whisper, " I love you too". We turn and head to our corners ready to fight. I slip off my jacket and loosen up a little. Although I'm in great shape and have trained very hard I expect this to be a long and difficult fight. Draping my arms over the top rope I wait for the bell. Patty Ann has removed her kimono and the world title belt and hung them in her corner over the turnbuckle and is also ready for the bell. "DING" I quickly move out of my corner circling to my right. Patty Ann moves across the ring coming right at me. I hold my yellow gloves high protecting my face. Patty Ann moves in close and throws a double jab that I catch on my gloves. As I look for my first opening Patty Ann leans back slightly and drives a left hook into my rib cage. I grunt from the force of her punch. As I move to cover my ribs her right hand smashes thru my arms and gloves and a powerful upper cut explodes against my chin. My head snaps back and my vision blurs. I don't see the third punch coming. Pulling back she reloads and fires a straight right hand at me. Her gloved fist crashes into my face and I loose control of my body. It is a devastating punch, my gloves drop and I stagger forward. After a step or two my knees begin to buckle and I begin to fall to the mat. Reaching out with my gloved hand I try to catch myself. It's no use I drop to my knees and pitch forward landing on the ropes. My chest and arms rest on the middle rope and my knees are on the mat. The ropes are the only things holding me up. Six weeks of training have gone for nothing. With less that twenty seconds gone in the very first round Patty Ann has scored a knock down on me. I have not even landed a punch yet. Dazed I struggle to get up as the ref starts her count. "ONE - TWO - THREE" I reach for the top rope and begin to pull myself on the mat. " FOUR - FIVE" I'm finally standing, but I need the ropes to support me. " SIX - SEVEN" Standing up right I turn toward the center of the ring and hold my gloves out to the ref. "You OK David, do you want to continue?" I nod my head and mumble a weak "yes". At that the ref steps back and signals for the fight to continue. Patty Ann moves in on me right a way. Two quick but powerful jabs connect with my face. I don't have the speed or the strength to block her punches. A strong left hook crashes into my ribs and sends me stumbling backward into the ropes. Patty Ann moves in close and pounds away at my body. Digging punch after punch into my mid-section she has me gasping for air. At this moment the only thing holding me up is the top rope as my back is bent over it. The ref moves in and breaks us apart and signals me to get off the ropes. With my head bowed I slowly move away from the ropes and toward the middle of the ring. I am unsteady on my legs and wobble just a little. My wife shows me no mercy, she comes at me throwing punches. Before I can get my gloves up to protect my head she connects with a solid right hand. My head snaps back and my gloves begin to drop. She double hooks me sending one punch smashing into the side of my face and the second crashing into my ribs. At thirty-six seconds of the first round my knees begin to buckle and my arms drop to my sides. I am on my way to the canvas for the second time in this fight. With my arms hanging uselessly at my sides my head is completely unprotected. The forth of Patty Ann's four punch combination explodes against my chin. My eyes glaze over and I loose all control of my body. I drop to my knees and my head falls against Patty Ann's mid-section. As she steps back and to the side I topple over face first on the mat. My arms fly out to the side and I am spread-eagle on the canvas. Forty-eight seconds into the first round I am out cold on the mat. The ref sends my wife to a neutral corner and begins to count over me. "ONE - TWO - THREE - FOUR" I make no effort to get up. "FIVE - SIX - SEVEN - EIGHT" There is no movement from me. " NINE - TEN, Your out." That's it the fight is over. For the second time in less that a year I have been knocked out by my wife. This time I did not even land a single punch. Patty Ann stands off to the side with her arms in the air celebrating her victory. My trainer moves in and kneels down beside me. He quickly realizes that not only am I down but I'm also out cold. The ring announcer has made his way to the ring and signaled for the bell DING - DING - DING - DING "Ladies and Gentlemen in the time of just 58 seconds of the first round. The winner by way of knock out and still inter-gender boxing Champion Of the world, Patty Ann Steel". As Patty Ann wraps he world title belt around her waist she sees that I have not yet moved. She quickly moves in and kneels beside me. Rubbing my back wile she pats my cheek. "David, wake up honey. Come on sweetie please wake up". At last I begin to stir and regain consciousness. Before I'm fully awake I try to get back to my feet. I thrash around unable to control my arms and legs. "I got' a get up. I got' a beat the count." Patty Ann strokes my head softly. " It's OK David, just lie hear. The fight's over honey." I slowly roll over on my back. Looking up at both Patty Ann and my trainer I don't quite understand what's happened to me. " The fight, it's over? What happened Who won? Patty Ann nods and smiles as she looks down on me. " That's right sweetie the fight's over. I won David, I knocked you out." All I can do is nod my head in understanding. My trainer and Patty Ann help me off the canvas and to my feet. They must support me as my legs are very wobbly. Together they get me back to my dressing room and get me to the rub down table. My trainer cuts the laces on my gold boxing gloves and pulls them off; they look like new having never landed a punch with them. Alone now in my dressing room all I can think about is my two losses to Patty Ann. I untie my gold boxing boots and slid off the gold metallic trunks I was wearing. My head still aches from her punches as I bend down to pick up my trunks. As I stand up I need to grab the edge of the table for support. I know I have just taken the worst beating of my boxing career. I peel down my shinny tan tights and rest for just a second. Wondering if I will ever again be the champion, I remove the hard plastic cup covering my manhood and step out of my jockstrap. As I head to the shower a gentle female arm drapes over my shoulder. It is my wife Patty Ann the world boxing champion. Smiling at me she says. " Though you might want some company and maybe someone to wash your back."
