Frank's Story - Part 1 by Lomax Chapter 1: "Encounter at the Track" Frank returns to the force from a long hiatus, and hits the track to start getting back in shape. There, he encounters a young, sexy officer-in- training, who literally runs circles around him. It was good to be back. Frank had been placed on administrative leave for 2 months, following the disastrous, failed attempt to break up the a notorius drug ring, which ended with Frank's partner, Lon, getting killed by the kingpin, shot him right in front of his face, while two thugs held Frank immobilized, watching, unable to do anything. They let Frank go, on purpose, to chew on his failure and drive home the point that the cops were way over-matched when it came to taking down the city's top drug gang. But Frank had put all that behind him now. He had gotten over it, recovered, was ready to get back in action. But first, he needed to get back in shape. As he jogged over to the track, he noticed a grl there he didn't recongnize. She had long, dark hair that swept down across her shoulders. She looked up as Frank approached. She was a knockout! Her grey/ green eyes seemed to measure Frank. As she stood up, he saw she had an hourglass figure, full of all the right curves, but with an athletic hardness to her. Her bare thighs bulged with power, and her calf muscles stood out as she bent over to stretch. She was wearing a long-sleeve thermal top - it was a chilly day - and tight shorts that revealed every curve of her legs. Frank said hello, and introduced himself, beginning his own stretching routine. "What's your name? You new to the dept?" She extended a hand and they shook. "I'm Tina. I'm an officer-in- training. Just finishing my 6 weeks." So - she had been on since Frank had been gone...Frank's train of thought was suddenly interrupted, as he realized she was talking to him. "Want to race?" She smiled, a bit flirtatiously, Frank thought. Was this young hottie coming on to him? If so, he was game! "Sure, why not?" Frank smiled back. As they started the run around the 800-meter track, Frank was surrpised that Tina took off in a sprint, quickly accelerating ahead of him. Whatever, he thought. She'll run out of energy in no time - be lucky if she even finishes ...I'll blow by her when she runs out of gas and slows down. As he kept running at a steady pace, however, Tina didn't slow down. If anything, she seemed to explode into an even stronger sprint. By the time Frank had reached the half-way point, breathing much more heavily than he wanted to, Tina was far ahead of him. She was closing in on the finsh line - and she showed no sign of slowing. What the hell! Frank thought. She snowed me! She's in shape, probably been running this thing every day for the past six weeks - knew I wouldn't be expecting her to run it hard...he made up his mind it was no big deal. So a girl out-ran him. It was only because he didn't try to really race. If he had wanted to, he could have beat her. Frank slowed his pace to a jog to finish the lap, as Tina was crossing the finish line. She looked back at him, and their eyes met. Then, to Frank's surprise, she kept running, and picked up her pace, hitting a hard sprint. What was she doing? Frank picked up his pace a little and kept glancing over at Tina. She was running hard, her legs pumping, her thigh muscles bulging with power. He had never seen a woman - girl, really! - run so fast. She didn't really run like a girl. Nonetheless, there was something indescribably and overwhelmingly sexy about the athleticism of her body as she moved. Suddenly, it dawned on Frank what Tina was doing: she was trying to lap him! By the time the realization sunk in, she was almost half way around her second lap, and he still had a quarter length to go! She was gaining on him fast. His heart pounding in his chest, Frank started to sprint with all he had - there was no way a girl was going to lap him. He was out of shape, though. His breath was coming in huge gasps, and his legs refused to obey him. When he glanced back over his shoulder, he could no longer see Tina - which meant she was coming up behind him. The end point was just up ahead. Frank focused, concentrated his all into a final sprint. On getting there. No matter what, he could not lose. His arms and legs pumped as he put everything he had into the motion. His heart was pounding wildly - he could hear almost nothing. He was only steps away, when Tina passed him in a blur. With a leap of joy in her double victory, she pumped her fists in the air and laughed. "Out of shape?" she mocked him, as he came up, breathing very heavily, and drenched in sweat. To his amazement, Tina wasn't breathing hard at all. Frank didn't know what to say, so he settled for "good run." He could feel the blood rush into his face. He was completely spent. She, by comparison, looked fresh, energized. "You know, Frank," Tina offered, by way of explanation, "I work out. Lift weights. Run. A lot. Every day." She gripped his upper arm. "You obviously don't. No offense." What the hell?! "That's got nothing to do with this!" Frank exploded. "I just wasn't expecting a real race!" Tina smiled at him. "Oh, really? You want to do it again?" Frank was really getting steamed. The bitch! Do it again?! He felt like punching her. His anger rose to the surface, got the best of him. "Again, huh? I've got a better idea - how about a different event - how about 3 rounds in the Ring? You want to try a Man's sport?" Tina smiled at him. Again, her glance travelled over his body, seeming to check him out. His glance traveled to her muscular legs. Her thigh muscles looked rock hard. She obviously DID work out. "Well, where I come from, running used to be a man's sport, too. But, OK, 3 rounds. You got it." As Frank walked away, red from a combination of humiliation and anger - he wasn't sure which - he regretted his impulsiveness. 3 rounds with a girl? What was he thinking? Next: "She's Got Rocks"
