Where To? by Goupil email: levik9999@yahoo.com I was just deciding to take the elevator to get to the floor I needed to be on, when a woman ran out coming from out of nowhere it seemed and wished to come into the elevator. She was a real business woman, very self-confident and also very beautiful, dressed in a business suit, wearing high-heels, wearing her blond hair tied up. Young looking, ageless... like a goddess. She made me anxious just by her presence. 'Where to?' I asked politely, meaning what floor was she going to. 'This is just a pretext for being with you,' she said, smiling at my naïveté I believe. Of course I stuttered and clumsily moved to press a button. Where was I going to? What floor and on what business? My mind had been like washed off by her simple presence... I paused for a few seconds thinking in front of the buttons, my mind a blank, but it seemed to me like time had frozen and I had stayed in that position for hours on end. Finally I decided to push a button I didn't even see, let alone remember where I had chosen to go. I had no idea as to where or when the elevator was going to stop. How much time did we have then? What was happening to me? I was like in some sort of trance. My reason and my will seemed to have left me and gone far away. My only guide and conscience was the woman... I was left at her will... Time seemed to have been suspended, we were in a different world now... I slipped into her arms and she carressed me tenderly and kissed me. I was feeling so safe and so much loved, it was a heavenly feeling, so delicate and yet she seemed so powerful... I was abandoned to her power. Such warmth and tenderness just by lying on her... by being held in her arms... Such a feeling of security, of being so far away from my anxieties and fears caused by my first days at work in the company. I was missing university days during those times... So much stress at work... and then she appeared... She was older than me. I could feel that judging by the superior position she obviously occupied... I was so much troubled by so many anxieties back then: about life at work and about my personal life in general. Was I ever going to get married? Where was I to find a wife? How was I going to live through such a major change in my life? I had not been a precocious independent adolescent... I was still somehow insecure... The unknown that lay ahead of me was making me so anxious... But she had the power to chase my anxieties away. At night when I sleep on her chest, in her arms and when she kisses me I have such a comforting feeling of security... I let life go on without being troubled by the question 'Where to?' anymore...
