GIRL WRESTLING IN GREAT BRITAIN   There is some wonderful talent in the women's wrestling ranks in the United Kingdom these days.   Pippa L'Vinn is inarguably the 'main event' when it comes to being on top of the mountain in England these past few years.   She had the passion, desire and determination to be the very best when she started some eight years ago, and none of that has diminished one bit in all of the time since.  She has made awe-inspiring leaps in her skill level over the years, going from a vastly talented newcomer to undeniably one of the most skilled of grapplers not only in Britain, but across the entire continent.   Not long after making her professional debut, Pippa had the good fortune to meet the promoter from the Professional Girl Wrestling Association in America, Mr. Randy Powell, and after seeing her in action, he saw her potential and encouraged her to pursue professional wrestling.  What's more, after speaking with her at length about the sport and her desire to be the best, he realized that she had the canniness and the vision to rise to the very top.  He believed in her so much, he gave her the opportunity to wrestle for the championship...and she won, beating the legendary Leilani Kai for the coveted PGWA belt!  Overnight, L'Vinn went from being an up and coming star in the UK to becoming a major name internationally.   Perhaps contrary to current popular trends, she is more sport than show biz, but isn't that what wrestling should be?  She does have the ability to be riveting with a microphone, and the camera clearly loves her.  But where she truly chooses to impress is in the ring.  If people know who Steven Regal is from the WWE, then his female counterpart could be Pippa L'vinn.  Her character speaks for itself...as do her skills.   Determined to be more than just a wrestler, L'Vinn has founded her own gym and arena for training both men and women.  The facility is a massive 5,000 square foot area that has been transformed into an arena for watching live events, as well as a kitchen/lounge, shower and bathroom, two practice areas, and dressing rooms...everything she needs to provide a comprehensive education for her pupils.  She has made a major investment in the future of women's wrestling in England, and she is the first ever to do so of this magnitude.   Pippa wants to develop talent by training wrestlers and giving them the skills to wrestle properly.  "Her involvement in wrestling is 110 %,"  says a spokesman for LadySports Online.  "She totally understands the sport of wrestling, and is a wonderful instructor of the game."  Says L'Vinn, "It's not necessary for people to want to be in wrestling to make money, or wrestle for a promotion, to come here to wrestle.  We have guys and gals who come here that just want to learn more about the sport...both amateur and professional.  Many have found that it's tougher than it looks, but great exercise.  It does take discipline but can be lots of fun and challenging as you see your progress."   In the course of her stellar career, Pippa has found herself working with many of the very best female wrestlers all across Great Britain and Europe, and even quite a few from the United States.  Indeed, one of the very few bumps in the road of her illustrious career came last year, when she lost the PGWA title after a nearly two year run to American Nikki Roxx.  Pippa considers Roxx's reign a mere interim until the Brit decides the time is ripe to challenge her and reclaim the crown.   Certainly the fans of wrestling in the UK...and anyone who's dream is to be involved in wrestling...should know the name Pippa L'Vinn.  Her goal is to expand ladies pro wrestling to the world, and make England the leader of the sport in real wrestling talent.  And if you haven't already realized that she's well on her way to achieving this, then you just haven't been paying attention!   Pippa's Contact: 0788 783 7146 phone pippa.lvinn@tesco.net email   Story submitted by spevent123@aol.com randy powell http://www.ladysports.com/ 1 336 667 7733    exclusive photos are available.
