Ackivasha in Camelot by Goupil email: levik9999@yahoo.com The crowd cheered as the Unknown Knight defeated Sir Lancelot, the champion of Lady Guinevere. Lady Guinevere couldn't believe it. She had precisely ordered Lancelot to be the winner of the fight, not the loser. Apparently the Unknown Knight had changed the fate of the duel. Lancelot was exhausted, but the Unknown Knight seemed to have even more energy than when the fight had started. King Arthur rose from his throne and ordered the Unknown Knight to spare Sir Lancelot's life. The duel had ended, and the Unknown Knight had proved his skill. King Arthur called the Unknown Knight to receive his prize: a kiss from Lady Guinevere. Of course everybody was so curious to find out his real identity. He appeared to be a stranger to these lands, nobody had any idea about who he could actually be. Lady Guinevere seemed impressed by the Unknown Knight's skills, and she secretly wished to make him her new champion. She thought he had fought to win her heart. And what could be more romantic than that? But when the knight took off his helmet to reveal his identity before the audience... the valiant knight was in fact a very beautiful woman, with long curly red hair... Stupor and delight on the side of the audience and the king, and disappointment on the side of the queen... She was Ackivasha, coming from the far-away lands of the Vikings... She had arrived in Camelot by being the only one to escape from a shipwreck. In her country there were many women knights - they were the Valkyries. King Arthur was fascinated by Ackivasha. She was not only valiant and brave, but also very beautiful. Very much impressed by her skills, the king wanted to make her one of the knights of the Round Table. His decision met with opposition from Lancelot, who had been humiliated by being publicly defeated by a woman, and from the wizard Merlin, Arthur's tutor and councilor. 'King Arthur, Sir, I believe you are making a big mistake. Ackivasha is a very powerful goddess, she is not a simple mortal. She could be dangerous, she might try to rule your kingdom, she will outlive us all. You have no idea about what Valkyries are...' Merlin couldn't finish his phrase, as Arthur interrupted him: 'I am not going to let pride ruin our chances of having a powerful help against the Red Knight. Even if this helper is a woman.' The decision was final. Ackivasha was now among the knights of the Round Table, despite the opposition from Lancelot and Merlin. The Red Knight was a terrible, feared enemy of Camelot. He was riding a dragon who was spitting fire and devastating the people's homes and lands wherever he went. Soon the Red Knight appeared again. Wishing to rise above his humiliation at the tournament, Lancelot decided to fight the Red Knight all by himself. But a simple mortal was no match for a supernatural force. Just as he was close to getting himself killed by his foolish pride, enter Ackivasha, no armour at all, only the sword in her hand. She was indeed an immortal goddess. As she had received a kind, respectful welcome from the King, she was pleased. Otherwise, she would have got mad and attacked the inhabitants of Camelot. But as the welcome had been on her taste, she thought she might as well protect Camelot. It was almost effortlessly on Ackivasha's side to defeat the Red Knight. Lancelot was now all the more humiliated. Ackivasha was angry at his ungratefulness. 'You don't seem to like me much, do you?' she challenged Lancelot. 'Well then, what about you? I guess it's a mutual feeling. You defeat me, you humiliate me, then you humiliate me even more by saving me.' 'Well, my dear Lancelot, you don't seem to like strong women.' 'I am stronger than you! You just got lucky, that's all. I can beat you up.' 'You want to fight with me?' Ackivasha asked. 'You challenge me to a fight right now?' 'Yes, damn it, you really need to be taught a lesson! To put you in the right place.' They fought with their swords. Ackivasha knew she could put him down so easily, but she enjoyed the game. She pretended to let him win and then she put him down with tremendous power when he expected it least. Lancelot was exhausted and furious at his own lack of power. The fight continued nevertheless. Ackivasha loved to tease him. As time passed, Lancelot's anger started to diminish, as he was too tired even to get furious... 'You are the devil,' he managed somehow to whisper, his strength deserting him progressively. 'Yes, typical for this land, demonize what is beyond your understanding, what you dislike and so forth...' Having pinned him down for the last time, Ackivasha kissed him powerfully but passionately. Lancelot thought she was going to kill him... 'Oh come on, admit it: don't you find me at all attractive?' 'Yes I do, my lady...' 'I am not a lady, I'm a Valkyrie. Would you consider belonging to me?' 'I am all yours already.'
