Vanity Case

My name is Russell Iles, I live just outside a small Cotswold town called
Stroud in Gloucestershire, England, I have always been interested in secret
agent TV programmes, films and stories, my all time favourite was the
Avengers, a classic action series from the 1960's, I can remember watching
the first Emma Peel series when it was first shown in black and white, back
in late 1965, I was only eight years old then, nowadays there doesn't seem
to be any of these type of programmes or stories around, so I have decided
to write my own, this will be my first attempt at story writing.

I have decided to call the stories Vanity Case, Team Trident, the stories
are set in Britain and revolve around a young woman called Vanity Case, she
is employed by the British secret service at their special investigations
division' (SID), Miss Case has been chosen to form her own elite three
person undercover team, she has decided to name the team, Team Trident, the
team will investigate dangerous and mysterious criminal organisations
throughout Britain and the crimes against society that they commit.

Vanity Case is the head of the team, the other two members are Lithuanian
born Eva Manova and ex Special Forces soldier John Sterling' all three are
highly trained and highly skilled operatives, who will stop at nothing to
bring these criminal organisations to justice.

I first thought of the name Vanity Case about three or four years ago, I
thought that would be a good name for a female secret agent, then I decided
she should be a part of a team and I named them 'Team Trident' as there
were going to be three of them, next I thought of the name Eva Manova, she
would be like the other two an expert in unarmed combat, and she would be
able to 'heave a man over' her shoulder, hence the name Eva Manova! And
with a name like she had to be eastern European by birth, I have only
recently decided on the male members name, the name John Sterling seemed
good enough for me.

I have taken a lot of the inspiration for my Vanity Case Team Trident
stories as I said from the Avengers, but also from the from the Modesty
Blaise books, a few films and TV shows and even some computer games,
nowadays most female spies in films and on TV use kung fu or kick boxing,
my female characters will go back to the old days and use Judo, grappling
and throwing techniques, with a few high kicks and karate chops thrown in,
makes for more exciting fight scenes and there are plenty of those.

 I want to try and make each story exciting to read, with plenty of action,
a good plot, attractive and exciting lead characters and of course some
humour in places too and most of all I want to make the stories original,
If I can, I'll try my best.

These stories will be for anyone to read, there will be no sexual content,
the only sexuality included will be in what the characters wear, especially
the females, who will usually wear leather outfits and boots, but then most
good female secret agents do, don't they! Well mine will.

My first Vanity Case Team Trident story will be called Cargo of Fear, I
thought of this story a long time before I had even thought of the name
Vanity Case, I have plenty of ideas for more stories to follow, but first I
am concentrating on getting this one finished and finding a suitable place
to publish on the internet, if you come across my stories I hope you will
enjoy reading them has much has I have enjoyed writing them.
