Neodystrophin, Part 2 By Myostatinus A sickness treatment has powerfull muscle growth side-effects Unbeknowst to Veronica the poxvirus vector had slowly begun modifying the machinery of Veronica's cells. This viral vector had been created to contain information coding for important muscle proteins which are broken down in dystrophic patients. Because the rate of degradation is quite rapid in these people, the expression promoter of this gene had to be a strong one. As such, infected muscle cells produce 10 fold more muscular proteins than normal ones, which is enough to counteract the degradation, hopefully for the life of the patient. Because this promoter is naturally turned off in tissues other than muscle, the genes would not interfere with normal human function. Normally vectors aren't supposed to be able to multiply themselves in the host body, but once in a trillion, a recombinant could form that was capable of replication. By a fluke of the author's whim this particular vector was one such recombinant, and once anchored in the cellular machinery, it would make copies of itself that would be released in the bloodstream. But still being a vector, an attenuated savage virus, it wasn't aggressive enough to destroy it's cell host. Furthermore, Poxviruses naturally possess some genes from the human immune system, which help them pass undetected in the bloodstream. To further enhance this trait of the vector, Veronica's team had ''masked'' several important surface determinants of the virus enveloppe. Thus it is a very efficient way of transfecting human cells with new genetic material, which would barely trigger the immune response which would otherwise inhibit it's action. Veronica's aroused state dilated her blood vessels, the warm water of the shower further enhancing this response. Her expanded conduits carried the viral vector deeply into her tissues. The small dose of virus she received was insufficient to infect a large quantity of cells, but once it's replication mechanisms kicked in the quantities in her bloodstream would rapidly increase. Still enthusiatically exploring her wet body, her breathing coming in fast gasps. Her expirations causing turbulence in the steam which rose from her horny humid form, she finally came to a deep orgasm. After coming out of the shower and toweling herself dry, Veronica proceeded to dress back up. While working as a dancer she had come to enjoy the avid stares that male specimens cast at her in envy for prolonged durations. Of course she didn't want this to happen at work, which would impair her colleagues ability to function, but when she wasn't at work she dressed to get that kind of attention. She put on her jewelry, large earrings framing her beautiful face, a golden neckchain somehow enhancing the curvature of her bosom, and rings and a wrist chain denoting further the litheness of her hands and arms. She then donned her tight black silk panties. She didn't like having to readjust her underwear, so this was the type that clung to her forms, with a only a bare minimum of fabric on each side of her butt-crack. She then put on her matching silk bra, which she topped with a tight blue belly-length tank-top which marvelously showed her still toned midsection. Her black miniskirt came next, hugging the nice curves of her rear and showing the nice toned shape of her thighs. Just before picking up her car keys to leave, she put on her high-heel sandals, making her over 6 feet tall and creating a pleasant bulge in her calves in the process. ''Glad I don't dress like this all day, my female students would be green with envy, and my male ones would certainly not pay attention to the course!'' She thought. On her way home she felt kind of hungry so she stopped at a convenience store to pick up some groceries. The clerk of course oggled her hungrily, and she shifted positions just enticingly enough to make him drool a bit. Arriving home, she unwrapped a box of donuts and sat down to read an article from Nature. She promptly sank down in a deep slumber after the abstract, her shapely bosom heaving to the rhythm of her relaxed breathing. The viral vector however wasn't resting. It's replication mechanism had fully kicked in in the few cells it had infected. Before long, thousands upon thousands of copies of it would be coursing through Veronica's body.
