The next day the warden comes to the infirmary. She goes up to the bed where Judy is lying. "How did this happen to you" the warden says.

Judy is about to tell her when she sees Bertha standing in the door. Bertha glares at Judy and flexes her massive biceps. Judy can see that they are pure dynamite. She knows that what Bertha will do to her if she snitches on her will make what Bertha has already done to her, twice, look like a picnic.

Shivering in fear she turns to the warden. "I fell" she says. "I was standing on my bed and I fell off". The warden is far from satisfied, but can do nothing but go away.

As she leaves Bertha comes up to Judy "Good move" she says. "You remember the beating I gave you when you tried to arrest me. I nearly killed you, and I would have too if Power Prince had not turned up. Not that it made much difference. I broke him into little pieces, and tore his arms out, and then broke his neck. I would have finished you too if the army hadn't started to get into the act. Well that beating will be nothing compared to what I will do to you if I ever hear that you've snitched on me. Remember, your superstrength is like nothing compared to me".

Judy, for all her superstrength, lies trembling in the bed. She looks up at Bertha's huge shoulders, her thick neck, her short cropped brown hair, and her gigantic biceps. She can hardly get the words out "I I W.wont t.t.tell" she stammers.

"Good thinking" Bertha crows triumphantly. "Now when you've finished in here I want you to come right back to our cell. No transfers or nuthing. I need someone to lick my shoes clean and to sweep the floor with a toothbrush. And you can worship my muscles while you're about it. And I'll take your cigarette ration, and your food ration, and anything else I feel like. And by the way superheroine, if you got any objection don't bother to tell me cause I'll break you in two. Understand"

Judy nods dumbly. She knows that she is utterly helpless in Berthe's hands.

What do you do now?

	Judy returns to her cell and submits herself to Bertha.
	Judy escapes from prison
