Chapter 36: Superman powers up!

this page added by an anonymous author

Still holding the unconscious Superman in her might arms, Knockout ponders the solution to her dilemma. It was her wedding night, and after only a few hours Superman ahd reached the limits of his endurance and passed out - so might for a night of passion. She was determined to find away to boost his power, so that he was better able to satisfy her needs.
She remembered that Superman's power came from the ability of his cells to store energy from a yellow sun. Being close to the sun, temporarily increased his endurance, as his eneregy could quickly be replenished, but it didn't last. She needed to find a way to boost the capacity of his cells to process and store energy.
Remembering that Red Kryptonite did strange things to his body and powers, she came up with a daring plan.
It might kill him, she thought, but the risk was acceptable (to her) if ther was a chance he became a more virile lover.
She 'borrowed' some red kryptonite from Darksied, and crushed it to a powder, and finally disolved in into cranberry juice.
Waking him up, she told him to drink up. Thirsty as never before, after the intense love making during the night, Superman greedily drank the cranberry juice down in one gulp. He immediately started to feel dizzy, "What have you done?"
"Don't worry, it'll all turn out fine," asured Knockout, as Superman fell unconscious in her arms once again.
Now for part two of her plan.
She headed back to the solar system, and landed on Mercury close to the sun. The solar radiation did not affect her, but she noticed that Superman, still under the random effects of the red kryptonite, seemed to be getting a sun tan.
"Well you're going to het a much darker tan when we're finished," she thought.
She picked up the still unconscious Superman, and headed straight for the sun. She figured that under the effects of the red kryptonite, Superman's body might react differently when expoed to extreme solar radiation. She hope the increased strength would be permanent instead of just temporary.
To make sure Superman got the maximum effect from the Sun, she flew straight into the corona, the hottest part, before plunging deep within the surface.
She stayed inside as longer as she could bear it,admitting that even she Knockout had some limits.
Superman looked like he'd been burnt to a crisp, at forst she thought he was dead, but he was still breathing.
As she headed towards the Earth, she noticed he was healing rapidly, far faster than normal. his body seemed slightly bigger too, and harder - much harder!
Knockout cried out in joy. The first signs were that the gamble had been successful, and Superman ws stonger than before. But how much stronger? And would it be permanent?
She realized that they needed another contest of strength and endurance to see how powerful Superman had become.
Superman woke up, feeling better than ever before in his life, brigher, more awake, more powerful. "I don't know what was in that drink, but I feel fantastic!"
