Chapter 11: A Super Brawl

"Ha ha ha ha ha!" Diana (the) Valkyrie cried out triumphantly as she carpeted the floor of the cell with flash grenades. "Did you think you could really defeat me so easily, you pudgy little freaks? A true Valkyrie is as smart as she is strong, don't you know? Ha ha ha!"

Judy and Debra covered their eyes to protect themselves from the blinding flashes as they squirmed free of their captors. Sasha and her two nieces staggered about, screeching in rage amongst the confusion.

"Black Nova," Judy whispered to her sidekick. "Get out of here now and find my power supply. These guys aren't going to fall that easily."

"I'm on it!" Debra exclaimed. With a running start she took to the air, flying past the dazed supervillains out the door, using her tracking beacon to home in on the power supply for Lady Twilight's battlesuit. There were times when Judy really envied her sidekick's super ability to fly. Still, she had more pressing matters to worry about.

"How do you like that, Twilight?" Diana boomed at her. "Brains and brawn, all in one gorgeous package! Ha ha!"

"This isn't over yet," Judy called back. "Stay sharp."

Diana belted out another triumphant peal of laughter. "Of course! I wouldn't want this to end too soon! I haven't even broken a sweat yet!'

Judy sighed. Diana was a good friend and a successful crimefighter, but sometimes her boisterous overconfidence made Judy want to scream. The self-styled Valkyrie was certainly a sight to behold, bulging muscles: blonde hair, and vast breasts covered only by a skimpy suit of silvery bikini-armor. She was undeniably a powerhouse, much stronger than Judy even with her high-tech armor.

However, Judy had never been able to convince Diana that muscle isn't everything. There's a reason that no real, functioning athlete in any sport looks like a bodybuilder - too much bulk is pointless, and actually gets in the way of allowing you to use your full strength. Diana could bend phone poles and lift locomotives with the best of them, but she couldn't actually hit much harder than Judy in a fight. Striking power in combat is as much about speed, leverage, and flexibility as it is about strength, and Diana was sorely deficient in those three categories. Her bulk slowed her down so much that Judy could snap off four of five deadly-accurate blows in the time it took the Valkyrie to throw a single meaty haymaker.

Still, one could go a long way with the kind of raw strength that Diana had, and apart from her peculiar fixation with muscular bulk she really was quite intelligent. Playing 'possum so the villains would lead her to Judy and Debra was a good strategy, and those flash bombs she'd hidden in her braids were very effective. Now came the real fighting, though.

"Sasha's a shapeshifter!" Judy called out. "Don't underestimate her!"

"Aren't you forgetting someone?" growled Ladybug.

"We won't let you get away from us!" Bitsy snarled.

"So who wants to get away?" Diana boomed. The two pudgy nieces of Sasha charged the musclebound Valkyrie, who stood her ground and braced herself on her pillar-like legs.

Diana grabbed handfuls of blubber from each of her two attackers and thrust herself forward to counter the power of their charge. It was a typical Diana move - matching strength-for-strength. If Judy had been in her place, she would have used her enemies' own mass and momentum against them, but there was no convincing Diana of that sort of thing. The big Valkyrie grunted with effort as her massive frame shuddered under the impact of the two pudgy villains, but she held her ground.

"Impossible!" Bitsy screeched.

"Unbelievable!" Ladybug added.

"Ha ha ha!" Diana thundered. Tightening her vise-like grip on their blubbery bellies, she hauled them into the air and smashed them together over her head like a pair of cymbals. The two villains smacked into each other's corpulent frames with a series of "oofs" and "ouches." When she was finally finished banging them around, Diana reared back and hurled them both towards the distant wall, bouncing them off the reinforced concrete like a pair of lard-filled balloons. "Take that, you fleshy freaks!"

Judy shook her head. Bitsy and Ladybug were already regaining their feet. It had been an impressive display of muscle, but the overall yield from Diana's attack was disappointingly low. As Judy had feared, the twins were much like their aunt Sasha - their blubber acted as a powerful, absorbent armor. For all of Diana's efforts, she'd done little more than inconvenience the terrible twosome. You could bounce that pair off the walls all day and they'd still come back for more.

"I'll handle these two!" Judy shouted to Diana. "Watch out for Sasha!"

"Leave it to me!" the Valkyrie shouted, but Judy saw her wince slightly in pain. She prayed that Diana hadn't pulled another muscle with her showy feat of strength. A bodybuilder's frame is highly susceptible to muscle pulls and tendon damage, and she'd known Diana to injure herself more often than her enemies actually harmed her.

"You think you're so damned strong," Sasha snarled, blinking away the last effects of the flash bomb as she advanced on the confident Valkyrie. "You think you've got the most muscle."

"You'd better believe it, sister," Diana trumpeted, flexing a bicep for good measure.

Sasha let out an evil chuckle. "You want muscle? How about THIS!?" With that, she began to transform. Diana took a surprised step back as she watched the lard on Sasha's frame rearrange itself, shifting underneath her clothing from her fat ass and belly out to her biceps and quads. Pudgy thighs transformed themselves into thick pistons of muscle, flabby calves were suddenly like boulders of sculpted granite. She grew taller and stronger right before Diana's eyes, until her Amazonian frame was even more impressive than Diana's own.

"N... no way!" the Valkyrie stammered.

"You like it, bitch? Now I'm more pumped up than you!" Sasha crowed, taking an earth-shaking step forward.

"Fake muscle is no match for the real thing!" Diana cried, rallying her confidence as she prepared for battle.

Judy couldn't afford to watch this spectacle anymore. She had Bitsy and Ladybug to deal with. Fortunately, they hadn't inherited any of their aunt's shapeshifting power, but they were still strong, armored, and meaner than hornets. The two rotund villainesses advanced on Judy, chuckling to themselves.

"Auntie Sasha's gonna mess your friend up good," Ladybug asserted.

"And we get to take care of you," Bitsy added.

"You're so scrawny, you won't last long," Ladybug predicted.

"We'll squish you between us!" Bitsy announced.

"A superhero sandwich on a pair of hot bad buns!" Ladybug shrieked with laughter, wiggling her ponderous ass for emphasis.

"You came up with that all by yourself, didn't you?" Lady Twilight teased. "Or did you have some help? I mean, you don't hear banter like that every day, unless you slop hogs for a living."

"Shut up!" Ladybug howled, and charged in ahead of her sister.

This was what Judy had been hoping for. She ducked low and caught one of Ladybug's wrists as she charged, using all the leverage she could muster. She lifted with her legs and twisted Ladybug as the fat villain passed, taking her enemy off her feet and bringing to bear Ladybug's own significant momentum in her throw. The angry villain flailed through the air like a skydiving manatee until she collided against the bars of the cell with a meaty clang.

The throw wouldn't hurt Ladybug much, but it would keep her out of the action until she got herself back together. Judy had observed that these two were pretty slow to recover, with all the mass they had to move around. She'd have at least ten seconds to focus on Bitsy, which was more than enough time.

She knew she could bang on that flab all day and not cause any significant harm, but not all of her enemy's body was armored. The eyes were the first and most obvious vulnerable spot, and Judy went for them first, slashing across Bitsy's face with her fingers extended like a knife. The globular villain stumbled back screeching, clutching her eyes in pain. She was wide open for Judy's next assault.

Even for supervillains who were built to hold up such massive frames, the joints of these two globular bodies would be under tremendous stress. They were the weak points. Judy took a hold of Bitsy's wrist and wrenched her bloated arm around to an unnatural angle. Bitsy screamed in pain. With terrifying accuracy, Judy brought her leg up and slammed her heel down in an axe-kick on Bitsy's elbow, which was already creaking under the strain of Judy's hold. The joint shattered with a muffled crack. Bitsy howled in terror and agony.

'She's probably never been hurt like that,' Judy thought. 'Live and learn, baby.'

Judy slammed her heel into the wounded villain's forehead, which was also not protected by much armor. Bitsy tumbled back into an amorphous, quivering mound in the corner.

"Damn you!" Ladybug cried, now on her feet again. "You'll pay for doing that to my sister!"

"Bring it on, you blimp," Judy snapped. "You've still got enough buns all by yourself to make that superhero sandwich. Why don't you show me how tough you are?"

"I will, you scrawny little cunt!" Ladybug lumbered towards Judy, her fat face beet red with rage.

Judy ducked under the transparent attack, lashed out and gave the flabby villain's ear a savage twist. Ladybug shrieked and clutched her head, putting herself in perfect position for Judy to execute another arm-hold. Lady Twilight twisted and pushed off with her legs against Ladybug's own massive frame, wrenching the shoulder joint out of its socket. She danced away from the flailing Ladybug, who pivoted to try to face her sprightly opponent. In mid-turn, when her leg was planted and her hips were twisting, the knee on her pivot leg was under the most strain. Judy used that to her advantage and connected with a devastating kick. Ladybug's kneecap shattered with a sickly wet crack, and she went down like a sack of Crisco.

Judy turned just in time to see Diana's body flying towards her. She ducked and rolled desperately out of the way as the bruised and battered Valkyrie crashed into the concrete, tumbling to a stop.

"Diana!" she shouted.

"ugh..." Diana moaned. "so.... strong..."

"Your turn, Lady Twilight," growled Sasha.

Judy rose to her feet to face her enemy. She knew that Sasha has taken a beating as well, and knew that shape-shifting into that muscular form put a lot of strain on her, but the evil Sasha was far from finished. She wondered if she was good enough to finish off this villain by herself... and prayed that Debra would return with her power pack in time...

What do you do now?
