Chapter 14: Natural Balance? or. . . .

this page added by Pumarah

As Rose rises to her feet and shakes her limbs and hears the challange to fight to her or Blonde's death, she scowls. Something was very wrong here, the blonde clearly had power, but she was certain her own physical training and agility was far superior to hers. It could only mean that Blonde Justice also had some kind of special power or ability, she was mortal she knew that just as she was, but there was something more and she had a deep gut feeling that her superior fighting abilities may not be enough for whatever that was.
It was time to put some distance between them, a lot of it! With a suddeness of fear nipping at her she whirled and ran in to the woods. But with just as much suddeness it seemed that the branches of the trees seemed to be in her way, barring the way and refusing to bend or let her duck under. Turning she fled, to the right only to find more of such as well as the bushes and other forest life seeming to move to block and drive her back towards the open glen.
From behind her came the same mocking laugh of Justice, she clearly had something to do with this as she stood near the treeline following Rose around as she struggled to find a way deeper in to the woods and escape. It was not to be however, a last twist and she found herself again in the open glen, wild eyed she looked around and saw the woods to seem to have gathered and closed a near solid mass of wood preventing any exit.
Whirling back towards the blonde, she suddenly had a dark suspicion. "Druid" she snarled, "You're some damm Druid aren't you!" A wicked smile crossed Justices face and she said, "Close, but not quite I am Sylph a woman born of nature and dedicated to restoring it, and that means removing vermin like yourself." Her smile faded and a scowl returned. "I have command over nature and all that is natural, you can't leave these woods except over my dead body breaking the commands I have given them to keep you here! Now do you fight me, or shall I call upon nature to finish you for me."
Trapped, Black Rose knew she wasn't about to just yield and let her call upon whatever nature forces she controlled to kill her and she spat, "OK Bitch, you want a fight you got it! But keep this plant life out of this, this is between you and me, not us and every plant around here." Justice only smiled but it had a wicked quality to it, and beckoned her forward her voice low but sibulant, "Wouldn't want it any other way, I must prove my superiority upon you alone!"
